From Surviving to Thriving: Reclaim Your Identity and Rewrite Your Story After Trauma

There was a night I stood in my kitchen and made a decision that changed everything. I was carrying something I had buried for years, sexual abuse that began when I was fifteen, at the hands of the man I worked for. I thought I had left it behind. But trauma has a way of finding you. That night I chose to tell my mom. What followed moved fast, a trial, a conviction, and a prison sentence. And I thought it was over.It wasn't.For the next twenty years I carried what that abuse had done to my nervous system, my mind, and my sense of self. Depression, anxiety, dissociation, irritability, thoughts that told me I shouldn't still be here. Through all of it I served twenty-two years in the Navy and built a family I loved. They kept me alive when I couldn't do it for myself.Five years ago I began my real healing journey, not surviving, but actually living. And what I found on the other side of that work changed everything I thought I knew about myself, about trauma, and about what recovery truly looks like. That journey is why I do this work.I understand from the inside what it means to carry something for decades that you couldn't name, couldn't explain, and couldn't seem to escape. I know what it feels like when your body holds what your mind tried to forget. I know the exhaustion of functioning on the outside while fragmenting on the inside. And I know, with everything in me, that healing is genuinely possible.I work with survivors of sexual abuse and trauma who are ready to stop just surviving and start understanding what happened to them, why they respond the way they do, and how to finally feel safe in their own lives and bodies. This is not about fixing you. You are not broken. Your responses make complete sense given what you survived. This is about helping your nervous system learn something it may have never been allowed to know, that safety is real, that healing is possible, and that you deserve both. You found this page for a reason.I'm here.
